Stephanie Bishop is a Pilates Method Alliance, Power Pilates, and IM=X certified Pilates instuctor. She is also an ACE certified personal trainer since 2000 as well as a certified Core Fusion Barre Technique instructor. Steph has been working in the fitness industry since 1990. Stephanie's background as a dancer, singer, and athlete have helped mold her vesatile style of teaching clients of all fitness levels from world class dancers and athletes to people with special needs and injuries.
Stephanie has studied many methods of Pilates and has a strong understanding of the classical approach. She incorporates her knowledge of anatomy and functional movement to train clients and gain optimal results. Her specialties include working to improve the back health of individuals with issues such as scoliosis, disc herniations, fusions, akyosling spondylitis, piriformis syndrome, and sciatica. She has also had the pleasure of successfully training women pre and post natal. Steph helps people regain symmetry, balance, and healthy posture.
In 2013 Stephanie naturally gave birth to a healthy baby girl. the doctor said "I wondered what would prevail high risk or Pilates. I am happy to say it was Pilates." Stephanie paracticed Pilates throughout the pregnancy.
Prior to being a Pilates Teacher, Stephanie Bishop was a Radio City Rockette for five years and performed in many Broadway Musicals in the USA and Europe. She has a BFA (Cum Laude) in Musical Theatre from SUNY Fredonia.
Lauren is a certified Pilates mat, barre, and apparatus instuctor. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Lauren found her passion for wellness through her NYC 9 to 5. "After seeing the toll a desk job took on my body, I turned to Pilates and found more than I could have hoped for. Through Pilates, my body was rebalanced and relaxed more than ever before. This positive experience led me to become a Certified Pilates Mat and Apparatus instructor and help others achieve their best body."
Lauren focuses on re-balancing the body, lengthening, and toning the muscles. In turn, it strengthens the mind. The exercises cater to every fitness level, age, and gender so that everyone can join in and take home these invaluable benefits. Katya has been taching Pilates for over 10 years. She earned her certification through Power Pilates NY in both mat and apparatus.
Katya received her BFA in dance from Tulane University and has been dancing professionally with many renowned choreographers and dance companies in New York.
Katya incorporates her unique knowledge of movement into her teaching method. Her clients have ranged from professional athletes to post surgery rehabilitation, pre and post natal, and sports specific needs. She believes that regardless of your level, injury or fitness goals anyone can do Pilates. It will give you a challenging workout and change your body.
